# Talent Future Index (TFI)

> Understand your future readiness score and how your skills align with evolving industry demands.

The Talent Future Index (TFI) is a tool designed to evaluate an individual's or organisation's readiness for the future in terms of human capital. It focuses on two key criteria: whether the individual has sufficient in-demand skills relevant to their industry, and whether their current role is experiencing growing demand within the industry.

## Viewing your TFI

To view your TFI score, navigate to your **Profile page > About me** and look for the **My Talent Future Index (TFI)** section.

Your profile displays:

* **Professional summary**
* **TFI score** — A percentage representing your overall future readiness
* **Skills relevance category** — Your classification based on the score (Resilient, Susceptible, or Vulnerable)
* **TFI comparison** — A visual chart comparing your score against the organisation and industry benchmarks
* **About Talent Future Index** — A description explaining how TFI is calculated

## Score categories

Your TFI score places you into one of three categories:

| Category        | Score range | Description                                                                                                                                                                          |
| :-------------- | :---------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Resilient**   | ≥ 50%       | Your skills are highly relevant and well aligned with current industry needs and the evolving work landscape. Continue building depth in your skills profile by learning new skills. |
| **Susceptible** | 20% – 49%   | Your skills have moderate alignment with the market. Identify emerging skills in your field and start building proficiency in those areas.                                           |
| **Vulnerable**  | \< 20%      | Your current skills profile may need more alignment with market needs. Identify emerging skills in your field and start building proficiency to stay relevant.                       |

## TFI levels

The TFI is measured at three levels:

    Your individual readiness score based on your current skills profile and role. This is the score displayed on your profile page.

    An aggregate score for your team, available to managers. It shows how well-prepared your team is for future industry shifts.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="building" title="Organisation TFI">
    A company-wide readiness indicator that helps leadership understand the overall workforce capability landscape.

## Improving your TFI

To improve your TFI score:

* **Update your skills profile** — Add newly acquired skills and certifications.
* **Complete recommended courses** — Focus on courses that bridge skill gaps identified in your Career Insights.
* **Explore in-demand skills** — Use the platform's recommendations to identify trending skills in your industry and acquire them.
* **Participate in gigs** — Gain hands-on experience in new areas through short-term projects and mentorships.

  The TFI is automatically recalculated as you update your skills and complete learning activities. Regular profile updates ensure your score accurately reflects your readiness.
