The Individual Development Programme (IDP) is a collaborative tool that helps employees and managers work together on short-term and long-term development goals. It provides a structured framework for setting goals, planning actions, and tracking career growth.

Creating your IDP

To create or update your IDP, navigate to My Profile and select the Individual Development Plan section.

Assessment

Start by reflecting on your current strengths and areas for improvement. This section is a space for honest self-assessment and discussion points with your manager.

Development goals

Define your development goals. You can add multiple goals by clicking Add +.Create concrete action steps to achieve your development goals. Actions can include:
  • Enrolling in recommended courses
  • Participating in gigs or cross-functional projects
  • Seeking mentorship from a colleague
  • Completing specific assignments or deliverables

Self-evaluation — Career interest

Complete a self-evaluation of your career interests. This section helps align your development plan with your broader career direction.[Upload Image 4 here]

Review and submit

Review all sections of your IDP for completeness, then click Finish to submit it to your manager for approval.
Discuss your IDP with your manager during regular check-ins. Collaborative goal-setting leads to more targeted and achievable development outcomes.
